Registered Psychotherapist
Welcome to Sparrow and Lily Psychotherapy, I am so glad you are here!
My name is Kylie, and I’m the therapist at Sparrow and Lily Psychotherapy. Taking a step toward beginning therapy is never easy. My hope is to journey alongside you, as you begin to share what has led you to seek support. Time in sessions will typically be spent exploring your fears, thoughts, emotions, experiences, hopes and wonderings.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Redeemer University, and my Masters in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier. I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists in Ontario (Registration #12338). Prior to practising psychotherapy, I spent a few years teaching ESL in South Korea, as well as mentoring young adults in a gap-year program abroad. I also worked in community settings such as L’Arche and group homes for a few years before deciding to become a psychotherapist.
These jobs allowed me to understand how presence can be healing and developed within me a love for the stories of others. Maya Angelou once said: “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story within”. As I learned to sit with the stories of those in my previous communities, one thing I learned is that in sharing our stories we become more of who we were meant to be and the burdens we bear become less heavy. As we share our stories and burdens with one another we come to realize that we are not alone. When we are not alone, we are capable of far more than we ever imagined.
In my spare time, you can find me bouldering (a form of rock climbing), hiking, reading, and camping. I love exploring new terrains, bookshelves, and ideas. Community is something I am passionate about, and when I am not lost in a book, you can find me soaking up quality time in my cherished community.

I believe therapy offers a space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in the middle of life’s challenges. Life can feel overwhelming, messy, and uncertain at times, yet even within difficult seasons there is still room for growth, meaning, and hope. My role is not to fix people or tell them who they should be, but to meet them with compassion and curiosity as we explore what it means to move forward in a way that feels genuine and sustainable.
My approach is warm, grounded, and person-centred. I value creating an environment where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are, without pressure or judgment. I believe meaningful change often begins not by forcing solutions, but by slowing down enough to better understand ourselves, our patterns, and our experiences. While I integrate practical tools and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I also believe in making space for reflection, emotional insight, and the deeper parts of a person’s story.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I strive to support clients in building greater self-awareness, resilience, and compassion toward themselves as they move through life’s challenges.
My path into this work grew from years of working with families, volunteering, and witnessing the impact of feeling truly supported during difficult times. I feel deeply honoured to walk alongside people as they reconnect with their strengths and move toward healing and growth.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy Muay Thai, hiking, movement, faith, and spending meaningful time with the people closest to me. These experiences continue to remind me of the importance of balance, resilience, connection, and community, values I carry into my work each day.
